About The Journal About The Journal
We hope you have as much fun with Fish--A Fishing Journal for the Waters We Love, as we have had putting the Journal together. When referring to the "Waters We Love," it is intended to be in the most inclusive sense, those special places--oceans, bays, marshes, rivers, streams, or lakes that travel in the hearts of all of us who fish. The Journal was spawned out of our desire to give back to the waters we love and treasure; however, our objective to raise money for the preservation of coastal habitat became much more significant through the Summer of 2010 with the Gulf of Mexico oil spill. Hopefully, you will find the Journal useful in keeping track of your fishing adventures, but also as a reminder of how fortunate we are to be able to enjoy and appreciate the great outdoors through fishing, how delicate the waters we fish can be and our collective responsibility for the future. As you record your day's catch, take time to reflect on the printed thoughts in the Journal of those who have demonstrated their love of fishing and our planet through actions and words, for which we are grateful. And, with your help, we hope to give back to the waters we love by donating proceeds raised from the Journal to organizations that help preserve healthy coastal, ocean, and related habitats.
